I've been a fan of Nina Paley's work for a long time and I've always wanted to watch "Sita Sings the Blues", a film that has won multiple awards that no one has been able to see due to some stupid copyright issues.

Highly recommended. Don't miss it. It is a very good film, and Nina is a nice person too. See what's possible to achieve in Flash if it's in the hand of a real artist.

The thing I don't understand is why Adobe $$$$ystem$$$$, which is richer than God, doesn't just solve the woman's financial needs . . .

. . . in the name of convincing everyone to do their animations in Fla$h.

Can anybody help me with this one?

Nina decided to give the film away for free:

Nice one. I haven't watched the film, but I totally dig her stance on copyright issues. Nina = awesome.
