Have a look at this and read the discussion. Everybody can use this service and "direct" a film this way. This shows up nicely in our ongoing discussion and might illustrate my point of where we would end if we entirely script or automate our animation. I'm quite sure none of you would like it to end like this ...

My brother (who lives in China) actually sent me one of his "films" done in this manner (although I suspect it was a different service -- his was in color. But very similar in concept and process -- type and "direct" by choosing camera shots, characters, etc.)
It was actually pretty interesting in some ways, but it's a one-trick pony. But (and perhaps a big "but" since these rely upon a very small set of characters, sets and camera angles) perhaps these do have a use in storyboarding a more traditional animation or film process.
