Help with anime studio

Post by reseve »

Well I exported my animation to a SWF, and I view it and nothing happens.
I am wondering why? If someone could please help me diagnose this problem, I would be much appreciated!

Not enough info.

Absolutely nothing happens when you double click the swf file? Doesn't open a browser window or anything? Does your system know what to do with swf files? What OS?

Well, it opens and everything, it just doesn't show the animation. it just has a blank gray color, and that's it .

Is it the blank gray color of the AS default background? If so, are you sure you have created swf compatible content? If in doubt, check out the flash tips in the user's manual.

With so few information, we have to guess:

- Did you create any animation, which means anything after frame 1 in the timeline?
- Did you create anything visible within the project area (the blue rectangle)?
- Did you set the layers to "visible" before exporting? (If you set a layer to invisible there, it will not be exported - very handy for compositing.)
- Did you export anything after frame 1 in the timeline? (Type in some numbers in the export panel.)
- Did you check "extra SWF frame" in the project settings?

When ever you have problems with SWF export and aren't sure why do a short test render to QT or AVI. If that looks good and works then you obviously have a problem with stuff in the AS file that won't export to SWF.
