Problem with ASP 5.6 on WIN ME

I've installed the demo version of ASP 5.6 on my notebook to try it out before the upgrade and see the changes.
But the program don't start!
When I double click the icon, the HD spins for a while then... NOTHING!
No splash scree, no windows, no error messages... Nothing...
Starting the Windows Task Manager i can see the exe loaded in the memory, with 4 active threads.
My notebook:
Windows Millennium Edition with all the most recent updates
Intel celeron 650 Mhz
Ram 192 Mb
Video: Radeon Rage mobility 32Mb

ASP 5.5 work perfectly on this pc, why the version 5.6 freezes?
Where's the problem? Help me please!

Actually, I'm more surprised 5.5 works on your machine than I am that 5.6 doesn't.

I am SURE there is a thread here on the forums about AS not working on Windows ME -- you might want to do a search here. It might have something to do with the install program, so perhaps that's why your older copy works. In any case, since even MS doesn't support ME anymore, the best advice for you is to upgrade your OS to something that was actually released in this century.
