I'm just about to buy AS Pro but I have 1 question. I bought AS 5 and have the disc but what we're to happen if I upgraded to AS Pro and my computer crashed. How does AS Pro upgrade? Do they give you like a serial number to enter?

Yes, at the smithmicro site you if you go to the AS standard page there's a link to upgrade to pro. It'll ask you for your serial number so you can get it for about 150 USD.

So that means they tag my AS 5 serial number as an AS Pro serial number?

I think they just let you get Pro for a discount, since you order a whole new box with the disk and stuff, but I'm not sure because I lost my serial code
