Why sometimes create-shape doesn't work

Thank God. It's always very frustrating to try to explain this stuff. Many of us ASP whizzes kind of take turns on which of us has the patience to help sometimes. Many times we end up just pounding our heads against the wall to no effect. Not even a reassuring thud.
