Alpha in Quicktime H.264 ?

Post by human »

I purchased Quicktime Pro (again), to get H.264 encoding, hoping to take advantage of both its picture quality and its support for an alpha channel.

However, I can't see a way to get alpha in QT for Windows. Is this available on Mac? If so, is there a Mac colleague who will assist me in knocking out alpha channels?

To the best of my knowledge, and I very well may be wrong on this, Animation is the only codec with alpha support. You would choose Animation as the codec, and then set the quality to Millions of colors +, with the "+" representing the alpha channel.

The only codecs supporting alpha are Animation and PNG. Make sure to check "millions+"
