Hello Imago

You just enter 1, or any other number for that matter under files/project settings/start frame or you can choose your starting frame for render under file/export animation

make sure that you don't have the "start" frame in the time line set to frame 0. I've done this myself many times. Using CTRL+click in the time line to set the start frame I often go "too far" and include frame 0. If you do this and then use "Export Animation" it starts at frame 0.

Also in the project settings you can change the start frame to 1. The start frame should never include 0 then when you export animation it will never be included.

Actually, if I remember well, the ability of export frame zero is an old new feature.
