What is flexible binding?
Iv'e always used region binding for the bones but can someone explain exactly what flexible binding is and how it works? 

Why the poll?
I did a new video tutorial that covers this subject on www.lowrestv.com. However I will describe it in text here...
Flexible binding basically means ALL bones effect ALL points ALL the time. No matter how small or far away a bone is, with flexible binding any bone will have some small effect on every single point in the bone layer. For example a finger bone will actually move points in the toes of a vector layer. It is subtle but still there. You can get around this by using point binding.
Region binding is more "specific" or "targeted". With region binding, by default the bone closest to a point will have control over that point. Bone strength has an effect on this. Overlapping bone strength can create a "shared" control over a bone.
What makes this different from flexible binding is that you don't get those subtle "strange" movements of points very far away from where the bones are that you might be animating. A finger bone will NEVER effect the toes unless the finger bone is the closest bone to the toes... which would be a strange thing period

Flexible binding works best with image layers. Region binding on image layers causes "blocky" distortion instead of smooth.
Flexible binding is great for "fluid" type motions like clothing or "hair".
