Animate a color change in an Action - Haunted House & St

Post by rogermate »

Having success with color changes, and animating them. Also having success with using styles. Actions work OK too.

What I can't do is have a style change within an Action.

For example, it is a dark and stormy night...

I would think the haunted house would have one set of styles under normal lighting, then when the lightning hits, you'd swap the color styles for something really dark and dingy for a few frames, then back.

Obviously, styles would help this out greatly.

Or is it better to just have a duplicate scene, and swap in the visibility of the layer, or swap views in your video app?

The last one. It's the easiest way to do.

Thanks Slowtiger.

To be clear, by "the last one" did you mean generally to duplicate the scene versus animate the color change; or did you mean specifically to automate the swap of the duplicate scenes in the video assembly app?

And good luck with your animation project about the animator in Berlin.

Yes, duplication is the key. Wether you do the transition in AS or in a video editor is completely your choice.
