Different curvatures for each side of a point

Post by stefman »

Hello,

I would lile to know if there's is a way to change the parametres of the curvature tool that way that curvature on the left side and on the right side of the point can be treated separately and if so they can be different from each other.
That means that for example the line on the left side of the point could arrive curved and the line on the right side could leave straight.

This would be great and would be a good equivalent to the lacking beziers curves.

Hey Thank you Genete.

Well, you really already dealed with that problem.:)

Let me resume.

To create a shape where the cuvature of each side of the points will be separately animatable I'll have to draw a line, add another intersecting line, erase the overlapping part, create an intersecting line on the new one, erase the ovelapping part, and so on.
And to animate them I've to select the point of which I want to modify the curvature plus the other point defining the curved edge. All this using Fazek's curvature tool.

Thank you, Genete. That's a very clever and a big help.

Your false_spline is also very tricky. Due to the sharp line endings I think it'll work best on shapes without outlines.

Thank you Genete.

Nevertheless, as the curvature angles remain quiet limited finally I hope that beziers handles will be integrated to the next version of AS.

Cheers,

I know that Fazek created a bezier drawing tool that unfortunately couldn't be rendered.

Could this be done now, in version 6?

This mystery Fazek tool sounds like what is greatly desired! With rendering...
