Even though i heard that it is not the best way to get small file sizes, i have to finish an animation i started with an illustrator file. I know i have to save the pieces as illustrator 8 files.
Do you know a script for illustrator (or AS) that saves every single layer as an illustratrator 8 file?
It would be great if you could help me out.

Confused.
You want to go from Anime Studio to Illustrator? Or from Illustrator to Anime Studio?
AS can open Illustrator files saved as v8 or lower. To open AS files in Illustrator go to file/export animation and choose SWF as the output. Export only one frame. Then open that SWF in Flash and export from Flash to EPS or Adobe Illustrator format. I don't know if newer versions of Adobe Illustrator can open single frame SWF files. If it does that would work as well.
There is no script to export to Illustrator directly from Anime Studio.
