AS6 2.6_3 t...masking...Ah...the rectangle...help...me.

Post by superbots »

New to animation, here. Going through the tutorials to get a handle on the software.

All I need to know is how to make the "expanding" rectangle that's used for the 2.6_3 tutorial. What do I have to do? I've looked in the PDF file and I'm coming up with nothing. Perhaps I missed the page? Anyone? Thanks in advance.

Not sure about that tutorial, but to make an expanding rectangle, select the shape by pressing G and clicking on a vector line. All the points should now be selected. now press S for scale, and click and drag the shape out to expand it.

make the "expanding" rectangle
That's a mask.
The expanding rectangle... just draw a rectangle outside the working area then select/translate the two right-hand points (in the tutorial this is on frame 24).
