Hi,
I've been trying (and failing) to import vectors from a variety of different programs (Illustrator, Flash and Inkscape) with very mixed results. Nothing I seem to do ever imports properly; either they come in as a garbled mess or the wrong colour with line widths wrong, or just completly crash Anime altogether.
Is there a way to successfully import vectors from a program correctly? or is Animes import tool just really poor at it? Is it really that hard to correctly convert simple vectors?

This topic has quite a history, if you search the forum archives. The easiest modus operandi (although you might not want to hear it -- I didn't) is to use AS as a tracer. The nodes on AS lines are different from nodes used in illustration programs, and the translatiion compromises AS has to make result in a lot of extra work when you import vector format files.
Ya just gotta suck it up.

You can't have everything. Where would you put it?
