You have to be more specific, what exactly are trying to load/import, what version are you using AS Pro or debut what version number, os, windows xp, vista; linux , Mac osx etc..

What are you doing when it crash?

Gen, try and import the .anme files not in a nested layer, but on top of everything first. So, don't import an .ANME file INTO a group or bone layer. Import it ON TOP of the group or bone layer first, save, then shuffle things around and move the imported .ANME file into the group or bone layer.

I know, its frustrating

Can't reproduce the crash here in any kind of bizarre nested bone, group, switch, or particle nesting. AS 5.6 and 6.0 Linux version.

You import an anme file which contains a group folder of PNG files, into a switch layer, which itself is nested within a couple of group folders from what I can remember. Mike knows about this and has fixed it for future releases. I posted about it in some random thread.
