I decided to try doing a head turn using actions. I did some research, and watched a tutorial on YouTube, but I still have some questions.
One thing I discovered is that unlike using a switch layer, keyframing is much more difficult. I have several layers involved in the actions. I am using a group layer to make actions that control all the sublayers, however, the only way to see these keyframes is to add a layer translation keyframe, but this is just a dummy keyframe and does not do anything. There is no way to globally move (or delete) keyframes for all the sub-layers. Having to go to each layer to change these keyframes is very time consuming. Is there a way to control all keyframes in sub-layers at once?
Also, I have found that "reference" doesn't always work. When I go back and make changes to my actions, these changes aren't reflected in the mainline and I have to delete the keyframes and start over.
Is there a way to use actions in a switch layer?

If you want to move the 1 frame poses by the time line and you want all the sub layers follow, you can use the poses script or the bone morph dial script. The first one is available for non pro.
I haven't tested the second one, though but I believe that is better than the first one in term of performance.

Thanks Genete! It looks promising from what I read. Where is the link to the most recent stabile version? and is there a tutorial somewhere?Genete wrote:If you want to move the 1 frame poses by the time line and you want all the sub layers follow, you can use the poses script or the bone morph dial script.
