Synfig 0.62 Splash Screen voting pool opened!

Post by Genete »

Synfig 0.62 release is very close.
There is a forum member voting pool for its new splash screen that starts today and would last one week. If you like one in particular and want to see it in the next version, register and vote!

http://www.synfig.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=805

About mid October the new version will be on the streets. New features:

-Unified windows install (single setup file)
-SVG import ability
-New convert types for valuenodes.
-Reverse manipulation for scale valuenodes.
-Keyframes (poses) are now dragable by mouse.
-Keyframes (poses) are now shown in the Graph panel.
-Insert and remove time in the middle of the animation is now fixed. Can be done with mouse too.
-Canvas window reworked. Toggle button expose shorcuts for quality, onionskin, grid, and ducks visibility.
-New icons for some panels and valuenodes.
-Onionskin is now selectable up to two keyframes past and future. Also it is possible to see only future or only past onion skin.
-Crash counter monitor for debugging propouses.

(rylleman don't read this): Did I mention that I participate on the splash contest? ;)

Interesting new features (especially the SVG import - something AnimeStudio should have). Makes me curious enough to give Synfig another try. (I had installed Synfig a while ago, but it did not start here. )

Good luck and success with the new version!

PS: The Dragon is wonderful.

Thanks for the comments on my entry guys. :)

BTW, the release candidate #1 for the new version 0.62.00 is out.
It is available to download for windows (binaries) and for linux and mac (sources).
 Download it HERE.
Windows users do not forget to set affinity to one core of your CPU according to the remarks from our windows maintainer.

Enjoy!
