exporting audio

i am doing a music video for a song a friend of mine wrote and i exported it yesterday and again today. before i used a mp3 file. and am now using a AIFF file. is that the right file type? it worked on my last music video.i just want to make sure

i figured it out, i think its up on youtube and the audio works i just had to export it as a mov file.
