outline on whole layers/characters in anime studio

Post by xothermik »

hi all. im working on an animation and am trying to achieve a style i saw in a mr bean animated cartoon video follow link below to see what i mean.
i dont know if its possible to create the kind of outline seen on all characters and elements and not just on shapes. an alternative of course is to do it in comp outside anime but then u'd have to render out several different characters and object image sequences. so id really appreciate it if anyone can point out a method, trick or even script for doing this in anime studio. would really appreciate.

You can achieve that look adding a hard shadow to each character layer. I mean, not to every single vector layer, but to the bone layer (or parent layer) of each character.
