Cutting parts of Imported images

Post by Sorox »

So im new and was wondering how I could cut an image apart so to add bone layers. I have a transparent image and im trying to add bones, but when i move the bones, it moves the whole picture instead of the arm of the character in the picture. I used to know how to cut it in flash, but Anime Studio is new to me and better.

you must sepparate your character on several parts and then import each part as an image.
Check out the tutorial to make a good rigging.

To cut up photos, use Photoshop or some other image editor such as Gimp (free).
What if?

you can use any editor you want, as photoshop, gimp, corel photopaint, sai, etc. Remember you must export your images as png's with alpha channel.

You're not answering my question. I have an image that is binded to the backround of the image. I want just the part that i want of the image to move, but if i try, it moves the whole image instead.

Ok, sorry if I'm not answering your question.
As I said you before, you can look at the tutorial to understand how AS works
http://www.lostmarble.com/moho/manual/t ... index.html

So, before making any question it's better to take a look to the tutorial. Forum generally works fantastic for questions and techniques which aren't on the manual. Try to read it.

You are welcome.
Remember you can use the photoshop script to export layers to anime studio. If you haven't photoshop, you can use aspconv, a little fantastic japanese software (look for it on forum).
