White background?? pls help!!!

Post by ClaireNaomi »

I would like to insert my own Images at AS to animate them. I have made this and I also connected the Images with the bones.
But when I upload the Image a white background seems although I have deleted it at PS. When I move the bones the whole Image starts moving. Can anybody help me?
thx

Manual. Tutorials. Do them.

Check:
- image saved as PNG?
- real transparency created in PS? (does the checkerboard pattern show?)
- in AS: image bound to bone via layer binding?

You need photoshop or gimp. Change the white backgrounds to alpha and save as png.

If you find that you have not erased the background completely, add another layer and fill it with one solid color. Place that color layer lower so it is behind your picture. Now you can see any spots that you missed while erasing the backgound. When done delete the color layer.

Brake apart your image as much as needed. If you want the fingers to move in a hand it is better to have them in each in their own picture than just one picture for the hand.

Add some bones so that they lock some parts from moving. This is covered in the manual and tutorials, There is a lot to learn, this program is not like others, knowing some other animation program will not help.
