How to create a vector, bone, or switch layer

For some reason, when I try to create a vector, switch or bone layer, the words are grey and it won't let me create a new layer. Image and audio layers work just fine, though. What am I doing wrong?

It's probable you have active "enable drawing tools only on frame 0" on preferences.

You have two options, you uncheck that options on preferences. Or you can go back to frame zero and create and draw all your layers there.

If you have some experience, I recommend you to uncheck, if you are new on AS, then just work on frame zero to avoid problems.
