Fade In and Fade Out (The Fades)

Post by AnimationWorld »

I have Anime Studio Debut, I don't see a tutorial on the Fade in/out feature. I experimented with a bit, but I don't see it working. Does this effect only appear after rendering? How do you control the rate of the Fade?

If you mean to a video fade, you can do it using the transparency values on layer proprieties (of the layer you want to fade). First of all, you must go to layer proprieties and be sure that "allow animated layer effects" is checked.

Now, to get the fade, for example, go to frame 40, open layer proprieties and put zero as value of transparency and then OK.
Now, go to frame 30 and put 100 as value.
You will get two keyframes and a fade from frame 30 to 40. To control the velocity of the fade, just move the keyframes.

Oh, I forgot to tell you something. On many cases you won't be able to see the fade until you render your scene.
