This sounds typical, if even a little on the mild side of many situations. If you're dealing with an out of town client or don't have decent labor laws in your area, you also have the option of hiring collection attorneys. 70-50 percent after attorney's fees is better than 100 percent of nothing.

I must note that if I have an honest client, even if I have to 'donate' some time to nudge along my client's client, I routinely go the extra mile for the 'team'.
