adding more frames

I wonder if any one can help. I've only had Anime Studio Debut a couple of weeks and so am still trying to 'work things out' but I have a problem with increasing the number of frames to more than 3000. I have tried adjusting the number in project settings and above the time line and I can reduce the number to less than 3000 but if I try and increase the number it always goes back to 3000. I'm probably doing or not doing something basic. Any suggestions?

thats one of the things with debut. you can only have 3000 frames.

Thanks- 3000 should be enough to keep me going!
