Coloring Text?

I have the fill and stroke set to red, yet my text is coming out white....

Help?

Import the text.

Make sure u have the fill and stroke the color u want.

Make sure all the points are red.

Hit create shape on the fill section

Hit create shape uptop near the lasso button.

OR!!!!

After u import text. Select what color u want and use the paint bucket.

Thanks SBTAMU...

I added a new layer and the text won't allow me to "fill" i t. I cna't select the shape or use the paint bucket. GRRRR
