animation preview

how do i render a quick preview of my animation without exporting a movie?
file>preview only renders a single frame.
i tried the shortcuts i found in this forum (F5 and Ctrl P), but they don´t work. i´m using anime studio pro on a mac.

There is no animation preview that I know of, you just render the movie at lower res if you want a quick render.

On a fast system a regular render takes little time for most project.
