Scale a bone layer without affecting linewidth

Post by Mylenthes »

Title basically says all.

It's really annoying, the line width changes and even though it says 2 as line width its really smaller than that.

Mylenthes,

A bone layer can't have lines in it, but I'm assuming you're referring to the vector layers within the bone layer group, which are all being scaled as you scale the group.

Look up "scale compensation" in the user guide. In my copy it's on page 263. I assume you'd only need to change this setting in the parent (bone) layer, but maybe you need to do it for the child vector layers instead.

Cheers,
Muffy.

Shouldn't the scale bones and the camera zoom work exactly like they are? When I animate I would like the lines to stay in ratio to the shape for zooming etc.

Also, you have to uncheck the scale compensation in the vecters layers that are in the bone layer if u want the line to stay "4" all the time.

Scale compensation sadly didn't work.

Im not sure if im supposed to restart AS for it to take effect though.

EDIT: Nvm it's for new layers, all i had to do was take off scale compensation in layer options.

THANKS ALOT!!! :)

EDIT2: God, this affects camera too?!
