I've been using Anime Studio since it was Moho, but I never really had any real use for bones until now, so I haven't really used them much. But now I want to use them to do something, but I can't get them to work.
I've got a long shape I drew in Illustrator and imported into ASPro 6. I made a bone layer, put the vector layer into it, and then selected the bone layer and put in a chain of bones. When I select the Manipulate bone tool all the bones influence regions appear and I can move the bones, but they don't deform the shape at all, only cause it to rotate. I've tried Flexible binding, Region binding, and also the Bind Layer tool, and nothing seems to work. I've used the Split Curve script to give it more points, but no effect.
I also tried this by drawing a square, adding points, and then putting in a bone chain in the same way as I did with the imported shape, and it worked perfectly. So, I'm thinking maybe there is a problem with boning an imported shape from Illustrator? Or is there something else I need to do to make it work?
Any help is appreciated.
thanks,
Jack

Uhm, solutions I think are very basic and I don't want to be like Windows' help (is your printer plugged?).
But, ok, assuming the vector is already inside the bone layer, try with menu>bone there are several alternatives. Try selecting the points and click on Flexi-bind points. If that doesn't work, try first with "release the points" and then flexi-bind them. If that doesn't work either, try releasing the layer and flexi-bind it again.
Obviously, if you could share your file it would be easier to see what's going on.
