Stereo Rendering! (AKA 3D Red/Blue Glassess rendering)

Post by meltedtoons »

I'm trying to make a 3D (red and blue glasses) animation mixed with real life video school project. Can some one tell me how to use stereo rendering? such as, being in more control with which layers pop out more?

thanks.

Choose the 'translate layer' tool, or press '1' to choose it. In the 'Z' field which is the depth of the object, higher numbers (1,2,3) etc will bring it more out to make it seem closer when rendering in stereo. Lower numbers (-1, -2, -3) will push it back more.

Also, in the scene setting, you turn it on then you can set the distance between the eyes, it may vary on diffrent scenes.

If colors change too much peoples will see leprechauns dancing on C.S.Lewis's grave....

Seriously though, if the colors stay in the red and cya range, then it should be okay.

i noticed, the red in stereo rendering is quite off (as in it's not the same red as on the glasses) anyone else noticed it?

Hard to see any depth on such a pic but the red seems same color as my glasses.

You get a better sense of depth on this pic.

Yes, it is .8, you can see a bit of ghosting on the image, maybe .6, or even .4 would do a better job!

Here is the file

AS Pro 6.2
