Many application names have absolutely nothing to do with what the application does:
Flash
Sony Vegas
Acrobat
Fireworks
Dreamweaver
Blender
Camtasia
Safari
Chrome
Opera
Mozilla
What makes those applications well known regardless of the name is marketing and word of mouth. Many of those applications are household names because of how long they've been around and how well established they are. Anime Studio could be called Bob's Your Uncle and if you find it in a search for 2D animation software you should check it out.
I look forward to continued improvements in future versions of Bob's Your Uncle®

p.s. I think Moho was a great name and if they kept it, it could have entered the pantheon of funky software names that are synonymous with the applications use.
