New Series I'm Working on.

Thanks Uolter! What problem did you have in your latest animation?

This reminds me of another (pretty intuitive) point from Directing the Story. The proximity of the camera to the characters will influence how the audience connects with the character at that moment. On the widest shots (like establishing shots), the audience won't engage with the characters much. Shots that include the upper body and face "feel like we are with a friend." And in a close up or extreme close up, the audience will feel like they're "inside the character's thoughts." So the most emotional/psychological moments would be good candidates for the closeups and the rest may be better suited with a slightly wider shot. And the strong poses would convey most of the emotions. Plus, as Neeters guy suggests, varying it a bit will keep things interesting.

I had problems with the rhythm of the story...I worked worrying only about the characters' movements and I didn't plan nothing else. When I finished the animation I found the overall timing confused...and camera shots were arranged at the last. I think If I have made a storyboard before I was able to obtain a better result...
I thought that one minute of animation had no needs for that...well I was wrong, as I can see from your boards, you can previously have a feeling of what is going to be, plan the timing, try different solutions and choose the best for your needs, improving the whole workflow!

Wow, you guys really are posting some great pieces of wisdom. Just another bit of News, Before my post rolls off the first page.... Yeah, this is more or less a "Bump" for the post.
I have really been struggling with the final demise of the zombies. Looking for "Effect", and "Style". Past three days I have been doing several tests, and I think I have something that is pretty cool. I cant get too carried away, cuz the scene needs to move the story along, but that being said, I also need to wow the audience when the opportunity arises. This has been resolved, and I am going to start finalizing this material. Then I can start doing the finishing lines of dialogue (For the Dream Walker Scene). Last step to get BGM added.

This is pretty much the finished "Dream Walker" Scene. I need to add more sound effects, and music. Visually it pretty much done. Hope you all enjoy. Marzout!

Well a great thanks to you for the suggestion "to re-rigg" the eyes. This definately allowed me to do more with the characters. The hard part is trying to become an actor, and decide what expressions work best. I've been studying alot of actors in films... This is something I do anyhow, but I have a more vested reason now.lwaxana wrote:Great new scenes, Neomarz! It's really cool to watch this show as it's being made. It's like live animation.
And I dont mind any suggestions someone may have, as long as its not scrapping too much work. I plan on going back and fixing a few things that have bothered me. Thanks for the support. I want to check out your project too! Sincerely Mars

Just to let everyone know. Laura Post has just sent in her lines for the next scene "The Hostile Servant". This scene is "Mackell's" introduction to the episode. Laura has knocked this one out of the park. I know everyone will go nuts over her delivery on this. I'll be posting clips sometime next week hopefully. This particular scene was not prepd for, so it may get out there a little later. I have to rigg the Tupaul Masters. Keep checking in. Marzout!
I make four backups of my work: One in my pc, one in a external hard drive and two in online storage service, MediaFire and SkyDrive.
Plus, every time I modify a file I rename it sequentially, like file1.anme --> file1.1.anme ect. In this way in case of sudden crashes or "Hollow File" I save my liver!
Now, even my pc will blow into thousands pieces, my work are safe!
Follow my method!

I should do some more thorough backing up...
