pivoting

Post by Datawraith »

I'm semi new to anime studio and so far I've been having problems using it. I wanted to know if it's possible to set up pivots like in creatoon? I can't get the bones to work and it's really beginning to bug me. lol

plus the pivoting system (or someting identical) in creatoon is exactly what I need to make the animations work well.

Hello there

There is a pivot tool for the layers, the icon is a cross, as for bones, just do the basic tutorials, they will get you started in no time!

so it pivots but now the only problem I have is setting "parent parts". Is it possible to do that?

You parent limbs by assigning them to parented bones, look at the tutorials, rather easy stuff.

Bones in AS are really easy to use and set up.

You draw a bone and if is selected drawing another bone is a child of that bone. You build a character rig logically by parenting the arms up to the torso. Legs up to the hips.

You put vector layers or images inside the bone layer. Then you either use the automatic binding or you can bind specific points to bones or layers to bones using the bone binding tools.

It seems to me you are familar with some other tools process. Each tool has a different process to achieve a result. You just need to learn the bone rigging for AS. Watch and follow the tutorials and you will be creating bones and characters in no time.

The upper right arm should be parented to the torso. Other than that the rig is fine unless you want some upper body movements where you would need to add an upper and lower torso bone.
Sorry for bad animation
