Will Anime Studio allow game programming in the near future?

Post by ruibjr »

I have used ASP5 and ASP6 for a while, and I loved it.
But I never had the time to create a real "feature animation".
Just bits and pieces of animations, etc - it has been a lot of fun and very educative, too.
But...
I have been working as a 3D game programmer and I would love to use ASP to create a 2D game.
I have tried Lua in ASP, and I enjoyed it a lot.
Of course, I would'nt expect ASP to render the game action with all transparencies, etc... but, it would be really great if one could attach Lua Scripts to "on press" and "on release" events.
Cheers,

Rui

Making a game engine is a major endeavor. I suggest you look at some of the game engines out there. I recommend construct: http://www.scirra.com

It's free, easy to use and has tons of features. Windows only though.
