How do i add animated images as a signature in my email
Am Ben Donald from England. I am a member of few groups in yahoo and i see some really cool animations as a signature in the mails i receive from other members. Can anyone tell me where can i find similar stuff on net for free. Please don't recommend yahoo avatars. I have tried them all..
Personally, I believe animations in e-mail signatures are annoying and unprofessional. A decade ago the increased file size was also a problem but now storage is essentially infinite so that's no big deal. Anyway, putting my personal bias aside...
If you're sending mail as HTML, you can simply reference a *.gif image using a tag like:
<IMG SRC="http://website.com/animation.gif" />
If you're sending mail in any other way, you'll need to embed the animated *.gif as an object in the message. Most web-based mail clients have GUI options for configuring this. This will essentially treat the source file as an attachment. If you can't figure out how to embed your animation, let me know what your mail client is (web-based or not) and I'll give you step-by-step instructions.
As far as finding animations for free online, Google has a fabulous image search. Just type "animated" along with whatever you're looking for. You can also check out http://www.gifs.net/gif/ for a massive library of animated images.
Best of luck!
