I like it, kkrawal :D
You made a very good work with gradients and blur.
Just one critic, the realistic eye doesn't look good with the rest of the drawing, maybe you should try with a more clean white eye (with all its shading). Right now it looks a little tired or dopy.

i agree - really nice character and shading (how does it animate?)
The eyes look like the morning after though, or this giraffe has been at the whacky-backy :P Just change the eye ball base colour to white or very light gray and it should look much more healthy... although drunk giraffe sounds like a good plot for an animation :D

Yes like that, but maybe a tad more soft edge on the white reflections on the pupils.
Sorry for bad animation

That is much better...
You could still introduce the lines coming out of the center though - in a light gray? might make the eyes look more 3D and transparent?

i dont think the highlights need to be softened - eyeballs have a high specularity, eyes with blurred out highlights will look matte (i.e. dead)

looks good :)
I would a) cut one frame out of the cycle so that there isn't that 1 frame pause when it cycles, and b) raise the ground horizon line so all four legs look like their on the ground...

It's a shame to export a swf without the shading when you've spent so long making it look so good - upload your mov to youtube :)

hmm, where before there was a pause, now there's a 'pop'!

did you just remove the last frame and cycle? if so, it might be better to have that frame but set the cycle to be a relative number of frames backwards - was your last frame the same as your first? you should be able to move the playhead slowly and not notice any two frames the same (like you had before) or a larger gap than the rest of the loop (like you have now)

:)
