I'm going through Tutorial 5.2. In it, a 'Mouth' Switch Layer is set up to use a data file from Papagayo called 'vista.dat' in order to lip sync with the audio file heard to say 'hasta la vista, baby'. This is done by going to the Mouth layer pop-up's 'Switch' tab and navigating to accept 'vista.dat' in the 'Select Audio Source' field.
It works, the lips do sync. But if I double-click on the 'Mouth' Switch Layer again and go to the 'Switch' tab, it says 'Select Audio Sync Source: NONE' where I think it should say 'Select Audio Source: vista.dat'.
I checked, it is still using the 'vista.dat' file even though it shows 'none'. That is, th lips are still syncing (the data is not actually 'none').
As it is, there is no way (I can tell) to see what data file (such as from Papagayo) the Layer is using if it always says 'None'.
I'm VERY new, I could easily be interpreting something wrong here...

Switch Layer source file shown as 'none'

That's a good tip. Thanks!sbtamu wrote:After you select none you need to go to the time line and delete the key frames the auto sync put in.
But I'm not selecting 'None'. I'm selecting the audio sync source to be a data file, and even though it is using it, it still says 'None'. I believe it should say the name of the audio sync source (filename) being using.
At the very least there should be a text field on the layer setting Switch tab that reports the (last?) one being used.
I'm starting to realize this is possibly a ccript being performed, not actually a data field. THAT would explain why it's not 'saved' at least...
