Text Tool gives AnimeStudio a meltdown?

I have been having this problem ever since i first got this program around last December. Every time i accidently press the text button, Anime Studio stops responding immediately and all of the unsaved data from that project becomes wasted time. If i push it it doesnt let me save or anything, it just waits for me to shut down the program. It is extremely frustrating. Is there any way to fix this? It isnt just annoying that i can't easily put text in a project, because if that was the only problem i wouldnt feel like asking the forum about it because i could easily get text from somewhere else. The part that makes me mad is how it stops responding in the middle of projects that i havent saved yet.
Please tell me if there is ANYTHING i can do to fix this. The placement of it next to the shapes tool makes it too easy to accidently click on it instead, causing this meltdown.

i always thought this was because i have a large font collection... don't shut down the computer - be patient and the font screen DOES COME UP. then you can close it again and save your work... i'm pretty sure this happened to me in 5.x as well
