Much better now that it's not so deflated. It kind of "hangs" at the top of its first arc and then looks like it get actually gets pulled to the ground. There's some kind of odd delay there that disrupts the flow of motion.

Ball should be round, then vertical oval, horizontal oval, vertical oval, round. Your path needs some work, and the ball's shape changes strangely. How are you animating this?

Take a look at this:

Then with the background layer of three circles:

I moved the ball first to top and to then to bottom for 6 frames. Then I corrected the path on each frame. To slow it down add more key frames, then tween them frame by frame.

Now its up to you to add the squash and stretch.

I'm going frame by frame,

Also, thanks to everyone for the input, I'll make another one and hopefully, that one looks better

Note that there is no anticipation in any of the linked videos (pre bounce oval). Follow through could be a little better too (post bounce oval).

Remember: Anticipation, action, follow through. (Squash and stretch). Try doing things in slow motion too, it accentuates the action.

dueyftw's circles stay circles through the whole thing. Not a good animation practice.

sbtamu's ping pong ball at least squashes, but doesn't stretch.

For frame by frame, make sure onion-skinning is on, and use it to guide where and what your ball should look like.

its improving every time, but before adding side momentum, maybe do the bounce up and down first? get that right with the volume transfer and then try spreading it? you might be trying to correct to many things in one go and confusing yourself (that's what i do all the time!)
