Been using Anime Studio for a couple of years now. Using it to produce a cartoon series for BBC TV. Really like using it but have a few niggles with it, one of which I'd appreciate some feedback on. I'm currently on version 6 and am looking to upgrade soon, very curious to know if this issue has been fixed or not in version 7. I haven't noticed any other posts about this so has anyone else actually noticed this or find it a problem?
This thing happens only with the freehand tool which I use 99% of the time for drawing shapes. A duplicate line is added once the object is created from a freehand shape. This can be seen in the random shape examples I've drawn out below. This duplicate line has no obvious purpose that I can discern but I might be wrong about that.
Removing this extra line takes a couple of clicks/actions but when you multiply that by the dozens (sometimes hundreds) of objects that I might draw in a scene this actually becomes quite a lot of work. Worse, the changing of outline colours can leave a duplicate line which results in an artifact or different coloured outline appearing around the outside of an object which isn't evident until the scene is rendered - doesn't always appear but can make a render look really bad when it does. I've spent many many hours over the course of the past year and a half going through scenes to delete these extraneous lines.

I'm very curious to know...
1. If this has been fixed in version 7?
2. Does anyone else has a problem with this? Hasn't been mentioned in this forum I think so maybe not.
3. Whether it's actually of any use and has been deliberately programmed in?
4. Is there a simple way to avoid this without using the autoclose option (which doesn't allow many freehand lines to be made into an object) and without resorting to using the vector tool (which I can't do).
Good software design is about eliminating keystrokes or actions, this seems to add unecessary work. I sent an email to Support about it but never got a response (which was just a wee bit disappointing).

This is my biggest issue with this programme because it costs me time but I do really enjoy using AnimeStudio otherwise because it gives me great results and is nice and easy to use. I'd appreciate your thoughts on this duplicate line thing if you have a spare moment.
Cheers
