I cannot render to .AVI using Anime Studio Pro. I had debut and it would render files, but when I make them on Pro, it does not.
I see another person has this problem as well.
All this time and money wasted!!!

"I cannot render to .AVI using Anime Studio Pro" is not a good description of the problem...
Is is not available? The render button doesn't work? When pressed it does nothing? The rendered file is not playable? Does it crash? You don't find the file? Do you still have Debut installed? Does it render to AVI? ...

The file is corrupt and wont open... When I use VirtualDub it opens the file but the screen is split in half..... When I first installed the software, it would render just fine... However, the last four or five times I have tried it does what I said before... I have tried it on multiple productions, and I even put on a new OS and it still does it....

I think it might have something to do with mixing files between debut and pro.... I am rendering a test file right now that has only been opened by pro.... If that works I will waste a few hours re-creating my characters and scenes in pro and see If that works.....
If it does, you may want to tell people that there are better ways to spend their time than trying to swap pro and debut files...
Sorry, but I am really frustrated... I should be done my animation by now, but I'm right back at square one....

I think that I figured it out... The preview screen on Virtualdub is not accurate.... It showed the screen as being split, but when you save it, its ok....
I suggest that you put a warning on Anime Studio that goes as follows:
"Many of the rendered videos may need to be repaired by Virtualdub. The preview in Virtualdub is misleading, so please save the file from that program to see if your animation has rendered properly...."
Its shenanigans like this that remind me why I should have gone the torrent route...
If I had a warning like that, I would have close to ten hours of my life back!!!

I am not sure what you mean by split screen in VurtialDub. VD should correct the split screen problems that happens in AS from time to time but should not show as split screen in the work place.tempemonkey wrote:I think that I figured it out... If I may ask, are you talking about VD having 2 screens showing the same videos? If so, the one on the left is the original and the one on the right will show any alterations you do.
