What have they done to the camera?
The camera used to be very good, now I'm struggling constantly with distortion and layers tilting when trying to achieve parallax.
The layers should default to flat at screen with no distortion, basically a one point perspective, currently if I tilt or pan or try any peekaboo moves , I'm forced to muck around for freaking hours instead a simple move.
BTW is this something to do with the native units of measurement in anime, if that's the case what is the unit of measurement and how are we meant to spacialise our layer correctly and in conjunction with a realistic camera move.
I have noticed as a default the camera is generally too wide angle , too close and not zoomed to make a realistic viewpoint as default.
The human eye is approximately a 50 mm lens, anime has a default zoom of 60 I assume that is in mm and it looks fairly natural, until we pan, and then the planar images go all out of whack .
This is fine for 3d but anime should be primarily set up for one point perspective until we specifically need to go 3d.
Why fix it if it ain't broke?
Does anybody know what has happened here?
Has the camera changed?

Layer creation now works different. New layers are created parallel to the camera as default. Layers are by default moved to be on the center of the view too.
I think it would be nice if would a preference to avoid AS doing it. Personally I prefer the old way, but sounds good for people that is just learning the software.

Yeah but Selgin , we are using the so called 'pro' version."selgin"

This isn't something that would be so much nice as a necessity.
I truly can't fathom why this has been messed about with in such a devolutionary manner.
There are many good things in the last two releases but so many that make NO SENSE.
I would much prefer to be waxing lyrical about the cool things, but my time has been chewed up with dealing with all these negative derrr-nitiatives that have been implemented.

Create a new layer, reset its position
and reset its X Y rotation
. That's all.

Update,
yeah well actually that doesn't actually work at all Selgin for layers that stay put.
They ALWAYs distort or fly out of whack in some way, and it is costing me hours and hours of messing around.
If I pan the camera any 'stage' layers should stay flat and still, i hate this crappy distortion.
The only answer would be a script like Peteroid's point camera, that applies to layers instead.
