shading on 3D models?

Post by Datawraith »

Is it possible to import a 3D model and have Anime Studio add shading to it?

If not then is there a way to add a light source to get the same effect?

I would use Blender to animate but Blender is very difficult to animate with.

I'm pretty sure that the answer to these questions is "no". For this reason, you are advised to "bake" textures and light sources onto 3D models before importing them into AS.
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

AS7 has shading options. Not too awesome, but has.

So the best approach is to apply shading on the model itself and place them accordingly?
