I agree with some others before; also for me it would be highly appreciated to have a better and more modern/flexible UI and some long standing issues fixed before getting new features.

For me by far the most important one being the timeline: keyframes not being selectable/clickable when not fully zoomed in on the timeline (often making me lose selections), zooming in/out of the timeline could be way more flexible, easier and faster (like using the mousewheel to zoom), the issue of audio wave forms behind the keyframes not being rendered/hidden when working with longer timelines.

New drawing tools are super nice, but in the end we are animators; no matter the artwork or style; we all use the timeline. For me that's really the most important bottle neck at the moment.
