Outstanding Thriller "HOTLEAD"

Post by 7Powah »

Nicely styled animation. Good story as well, and action packed detective thriller.

Almost an animatic. I'm a real sucker for noir! It was a nice little story; shows what you can do if you keep it simple. Could easily have been done in AS...
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

@jahnocli - First off thanks for chiming in on the thread. yeah I'm interested in throwing something together to this effect with ASP to see how well I might be able to pull it off. Also I want to see just how far I can go with the 2D/3D capabilities in ASP and coming up with a good mixture of the two realms. Can't say that I've seen any good combinations to that effect yet with ASP. Have you or has anyone who might view this thread?

@7powah -- It's something I'd be very interested in. I'm working on something at the moment for the 11 second club. I'm actually trying to model a face in Plasticine so I can draw it accurately from several angles, then trace the drawings in AS. I'm also interested in the 3D background angle...Trying to get to grips with Wings 3D at present, and I have an old (under-utilised) copy of Canoma which I have got some good 3D models with in the past.

Will try to post something soon -- I don't do that often enough...

@jahnocli : Sounds like you're off to the races. When you've got something going I'd love to see the results. I'm trying to absorb every aspect of the animation game as I possibly can in order to keep up with the beast! You know I mean? Oh and sorry about the late reply. I got caught up in this new program as of late and got side tracked 4 a moment. Well anyway take it light and I'll be talking 2 U in the future. 8) Happy Easter and Happy Animating.

Thanks for posting that, 7Powah. I enjoyed that a lot. Love the style, and the chiseled look of the characters.
