do you use photoshop?
or you scan your drawin and paint 'em in photoshop?
or finally maybe do you use the vectorial tool in AS?

I design them in an external program (ArtRage 2.5), and trace them in Anime Studio.

I draw in AS and also draw in PS and trace in AS. Sometimes I draw very rough sketches on paper and just use that as a visual reference to redraw in AS (no scanning).

I use Final Cut Pro to edit clips exported as quicktimes from AS. Also Motion and After Effects. I'm fairly new at AS, but I don't think it's intended as a non-linear editor.

I use Premiere -- can't imagine putting together anything serious without it or something similar.
