Can't import layers. Please help.

I just got Anime Studio and for I can't import any of my photoshop CS3 pictures with layers. I really don't want to have to draw everything separately. It wouldn't let me import anything as a .tif even though the support page says it accepts tifs. Do I have to save it a certain way or is there some kind of file converter I can get that will keep my layer information intact?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

PNG always works well for me if you need the transparency.

There is also a Photoshop script (A Photoshop script NOT an Anime Studio script) that exports layers to an AS file.

This script is for CS photoshop only. I don't know where it is offhand. You could search the forums.

Basic workflow: save each layer separately as a PNG while the background is turned off so you keep transparency. Import into AS. Done.
