This sounds crazy, but when I export to SWF in the most recent version, it automatically loads up Adobe Illustrator and tries to load the SWF into that. (and fails)
This is on OsX 10.3.8
It may have done it in 5.0.8 too (didn't try) but it certainly didn't before that.. Confusing.
It's probably my settings..? Or is it moho itself? I don't understand. Pretty funny behaviour.
This is a new behavior - when you export a movie or SWF file, that file will then be launched in the default application for that file type. For a QuickTime movie that would most likely be the QuickTime Player, for AVI (on Windows) that would usually be Windows Media Player.
For SWF files, it could be different things: If you have Flash installed, the default viewer for SWF files should be the standalone Flash player. On a typical Mac, the default viewer for SWF files is the QuickTime Player. Unfortunately, QuickTime is not totally up-to-date with SWF files, and can't play Moho's exported SWF files.
I don't know how Illustrator got associated with SWF files on your Mac, but you can assign a different program to handle SWF files. If you don't have the standalone Flash player, I would recommend associating Safari or another web broswer. To do this, right-click (or control-click with a one-button mouse) on a SWF file. In the popup menu, select "Open With->Other...".
In the Choose Application dialog, select Safari, and turn on the "Always Open With" checkbox. This tells OS X to associate Safari with SWF files. The dialog may not let you choose Safair unless you switch from "Recommended Applications" to "All Applications".
