Virtual group layers

Post by synthsin75 »

I think ASP really needs a virtual group layer that doesn't enclose its children, but just allows them to be moved (layer ordered) as a group. It would help with masking since these subgroups need to maintain their order.
Since bone layers already do eveything the current group layers do, I think this kind of group layer would be much more valuable than the current group layer.

I would even go as far as suggesting these virtual groups have independant masking.

P.s. This is of course secondary to my number one request for animated shape ordering. This may be awhile coming since shape order is relative to the camera, though I'd prefer it to remain this way even if animated.

I think what you actually want it to be able to select multiple layers in the Layers palette and move them together, up and down in the Layers palette.
