Choosing a bone from a different layer

Post by oferhod »

Hi guys
I've made a character and I use a bone layer for the body and two other switched bone layers for the two arms.
Now, I'm animating them separately, first body... then one arm... then another arm... then body again...
I just wondering if there is a way to choose the right layer by selecting the bone.

I want that choosing a bone from a different layer than the current one, will automatically make that layer active.

BTW
Is there a script for better English on forums? :)

Thank You!

Actually this behaviour of AS is one of the main obstacles if one needs to work fast. I'd like to have a comfortable way to select everything on stage instead of having to go deeply into the layer palette.

A possible solution could include the use of some modifier keys (maybe cmd+b for bones, cmd+s for shapes) with the mouse click which selects either the part in question or opens a small pulldown to select one object if there are more than one. Photoshop does it the second way.
